The 'Wiskaway' 10000 Couchette Bed is available as a mechanism only, for customers to incorporate into their own casegoods (as was the case here). Alternatively, it can be supplied complete with mattress and surround, in a range of finishes, including wipe-clean MFC and  plastic laminates, or veneers.

The 'Wiskaway' 10000 Couchette Bed comes in a range of single sizes, is designed to take a proper interior sprung mattress, is counterbalanced, for safe, smooth and easy operation and can be folded away complete with all the bedding - including the pillows - for regular nightly use.

This model must be securely fixed to a load-bearing wall at a height to suit the application and comes complete with a detachable steel ladder, which can be folded away with the bed.

With space becoming an increasingly valuable commodity, more and more hotels are incorporating wallbeds into their syndicate and family rooms.

A concept already long established in trains and on ships, the 'couchette' bed is now proving equally useful on terra-firma.
